The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) gave the proper notice to the California Pesticide company to settle the civil penalty of $44,275 for violating the Fumigation Management Plan. Many major complaints were received from the surroundings regarding the improper pesticide exposure from the year 2016 itself. Concerning all the compliant registered in EPA, the Inspection department enquired the company regarding the usage, exposure, and other Pesticide Regulatory Programs.

As a result of the investigation, the commissioner found that the company violated the Fumigation Management Plan by not meeting the proper label requirements (soil Fumigant Label), Post application summary, and air monitoring. The final statement states “Applicators must follow all EPA-approved labeling instructions to ensure the protection of human health and the environment or face penalties and this settlement was done under the (FIFRA) Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act.
