The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) is a new United Kingdom certain product marking which is used for products being placed on the UK Market. The UKCA marking came into force after the exit of Britain from the European Union and as a replacement for previously used CE marking. The UKCA marking came into effect on 1st January 2021 and the deadline to comply with UKCA marking was set to 1st January 2022. However, to allow the business to run freely and to minimize the effect of this transition, the deadline to apply UKCA markings for products placed in Great Britain has been extended to 1st January 2023 by the UK Government.

Due to this deadline extension, products that already have a CE mark will be allowed to place on the market of Great Britain until January 1, 2023. (Northern Ireland remains aligned with EU CE mark requirements.)

If you are a manufacturer in the UK and are still not clear on how to proceed further to meet the governmental regulations, our compliance team of APA Engineering Inc. can provide you with a time-bound solution at an affordable cost
