The Additional Minerals Reporting Template (AMRT) is a standardized, free reporting tool developed by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) to facilitate the collection of due diligence information for minerals not covered by the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) or the Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT). Originally introduced as the Pilot Reporting Template (PRT), it was renamed to AMRT with the release of version 1.2 on October 4, 2024, signifying its transition from a pilot phase to an established tool.
Purpose and Scope
The AMRT is designed to help downstream companies—those from the end user up to, but not including the smelter, refiner, or processor—gather and disclose information about their supply chains. It supports the exercise of due diligence in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. Unlike the CMRT and EMRT, which are limited to specific minerals, the AMRT allows users to input data for up to ten minerals of their choosing, providing flexibility to address company-specific concerns or emerging regulatory requirements.
Recent Updates
The latest version, AMRT v1.21, was released on May 16, 2025. This update includes an enhanced description on the "Minerals Scope" tab to improve clarity and usability. The next version is anticipated for release in the fall of 2025.
Key Features
• User-Defined Mineral Scope: Companies can select up to ten minerals not currently covered by CMRT or EMRT, allowing for tailored reporting based on specific needs.
• Supply Chain Transparency: The template facilitates the transfer of information through the supply chain regarding the smelters, refiners, and processors being utilized.
• Due Diligence Support: By collecting detailed information, the AMRT aids companies in exercising due diligence and identifying new smelters, refiners, and processors that may require audits via RMI’s Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) .
