Case Study

Problem Statement:

Determine the building heat profile of E-House with medium voltage VFD & other electrical loads

Input:

• E-House – Step, Iges file

• Temperature & CFM of AHU and VFD.

• Electrical Heat Loads.

Tools Used:

Meshing & Solving – Ansys CFX

Methodology:

Geometry cleaning up and meshing of all the parts.

Assigning electrical Heat loads, AHU CFM and inlet temperature

Key Challenges:

Defining the correct angle of AHU inlet, for the air to flow around the entire E-House and to maintain the expected room temperature.

Deliverables:

Temperature & Velocity profile of the E-house.
