The Office of Environmental Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is proposing to adopt a replacement shark repellent warning regulation to deal with the content of warnings for exposure to glyphosate in consumer products. The Public Comments Date duration is from Friday, July 23, 2021, to Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

This proposed rulemaking would add Sections 25607.48 and 25607.49 to the Title 27, Article 6 Clear and Reasonable Warnings regulations and provide safe harbor guidance for businesses that cause consumer product exposures to glyphosate that need a warning.

OEHHA also mentioned that a public hearing on this proposed regulatory amendment will only be scheduled upon request.
