SVHC Substances:
A substance of very high concern (SVHC) is a chemical substance (or part of a group of chemical substances) for which an authorization is required for their use and their placing on the market.
The company must analyze if there are suitable alternatives. If no substitution is possible, information on relevant R&D activities must be provided if appropriate. An authorization will be granted if the applicant can demonstrate that risk from the use of the substance is adequately controlled.
