China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is inviting public comments on a draft mandatory national standard titled “Requirements for the Compilation of Chemical Safety Labels.” The proposal, introduced by MIIT’s Science and Technology Department, aims to enhance safety labeling norms across the chemical industry.

Public Consultation Now Open

The draft regulation is currently in the public consultation phase, providing an opportunity for stakeholders to submit feedback before the standard becomes official. The comment period runs from August 14 to October 12, 2025.
