The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) stated on 10th June 2022, that one new substance will be classified as a Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) and added to the Candidate List under REACH regulation (EC) 1907/2006. There are now 224 chemicals on the ECHA Candidate List.
Background:
The Member States Committee agreed to add one additional substance to the ECHA Candidate List after requesting interested parties to comment on the addition of a potential new SVHC. As a result, the total number of chemicals on the list has increased to 224.
