Under Section 82 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019, the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) has announced the addition of several industrial chemicals to the AICIS Inventory.

This update comes five years after the issue of their assessment certificates, and it enables these substances to now be introduced without pre-assessment—provided there are no significant changes from the originally assessed conditions.

📌 Key Compliance Requirement

Importers and manufacturers must notify AICIS within 28 days if the introduction circumstances differ from the original assessment. This applies to all the chemicals listed below.

🧪 New Chemicals Added to AICIS Inventory

⚠️ Important Reminder for Industry Stakeholders

All businesses involved in the import or manufacture of these chemicals must:

• Review current introduction conditions
• Confirm they align with the original AICIS assessment
• Submit required information to AICIS within 28 days if there are any changes

Failure to comply may lead to regulatory consequences under the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019.
