California’s “Clean Cars 4 all” has now reached more than 10,000 participants, which implies that all the old, overused, and dirty cars have now been replaced with zero-emission automobiles. Reportedly, there has been a lot of demand for this program to function without any hindrance since lower-income drivers are the ones who benefit here. Air Districts of CA confirmed that the total number of participants has continued to increase in count despite the COVID-19 pandemic. As of September 30, 2020, 82.5 million dollars have been spent on incentives for this program.

The transportation sector is one of the major sources of air pollution and greenhouse gases all across the world. While the primary focus of this initiative is to replace conventional automobiles with eco-friendly ones and to enable low-income car drivers of California to own fuel-efficient vehicles, it also endorses the use of alternative means to commute.

Clean cars 4 is currently funded by the California Climate Investments and Enhanced fleet modernization program. The California Climate Investments has been put forth by the government of CA to curb harmful gas emissions and also to improve public health, especially in affected communities.
