Volatile organic Compound Regulations for consumer products reduce the VOC limits for various categories which will be effective from 1st May 2020 in Colorado; 1st Jan 2022 in New York; 1st Jan 2024 in Canada (proposed). The VOC limit for the category ‘Disinfectant’ alone will be effective from 1st May 2021 in Colorado; 1st Jan 2023 in New York; The state Arizona and Texas imposes a VOC limit for the product category ‘Automotive Windshield Washer Fluid’ which is more stringent than the EPA Regulation. Along with VOC regulations, the prohibition of chlorinated compounds such as Perchloroethylene, Methylene chloride & Trichloroethylene in some product categories will be effective on the same date respective to the locations.
