Two new toxic chemicals that are used in products, such as inks or toners, and to produce plastics and rubber tires were added to the candidate list, as they are toxic for reproduction and therefore, may adversely affect sexual function and fertility, and cause developmental toxicity in offspring. The Candidate List of substances of very high concern now contains 211 chemicals that may harm people or the environment.

Not registered under REACH as a group of substances. However, one of the three group members (Dioctyltin dilaurate) is registered.
The mono-constituent form of the substance (dioctyltin dilaurate) is used as an additive in the production of plastics and rubber tires.

From January 2021 onwards, Companies must follow their legal obligations and ensure the safe use of these chemicals also have to notify ECHA under the Waste Framework Directive if their products contain substances of very high concern. The Candidate List of substances of very high concern now contains 211 chemicals that may harm people or the environment.
