In the USA, several steps are taking to reduce Hydrofluorocarbon emissions for certain substances in specific uses to target the 2030 greenhouse gas. Initially, the California government signed the regulation under the California Cooling Act which was effective from January 1, 2019. After that, most of the states are coming into the picture for implementing these regulations in their states to achieve the greenhouse gas target.

The Regulation standards state that the usage of hydrofluorocarbon substances is restricted in various refrigeration equipment, vending machines, Foams, Household refrigerators, freezers, chillers, Aerosol – Propellant. In addition to the standards, the common Disclosure requirements and record-keeping requirements are also part of it. Violation of these regulations will lead to the penalties set by the Health and safety code.
