1. IMDS Release 13.0 introduced a multi-sourcing component
In this new release, we can create a multi-source component. Under a multisource component, we can add the MDS from the different suppliers for the single part number.
Among the alternatives, we have to select any one of the alternatives as preferred alternatives.
One of the preferred alternatives will be used as e.g. for weight calculations remaining alternatives are part of MDS also found by the where-used-analysis.

2. Recommendation IMDS001 is now valid in IMDS
As already announced on July 21 Annex IMDS001a to Recommendation IMDS001 was updated and now it is valid in IMDS from (22 Oct).
