The Responsible Minerals Initiative launched a free standardized template known as the Mica Reporting Template (MRT) to identify choke points and collect due diligence information in the mica supply chain.
The MRT also facilitates the exchange of information through the supply chain regarding mineral country of origin and processors being utilized. There is currently no standard processor list associated with this tool. The mica processor disposition process is ongoing and will be updated shortly. By using the MRT the downstream companies can have an assurance that they are not utilizing mica products sourced from illegal mines and in turn are supporting the initiative.
