The Biocidal Products Committee proposes not to approve the use of d-allethrin in insecticides it comes under product type 18 (insecticides, acaricides, and products to control other arthropods) also they feel that toxicological test data which they presented, isn’t matched with the d-allethrin. And they found the use of this substance also affects human health and the environment.
Committed accepted for the approving the active substances for the,
- Product type 6 (preservatives for products in storage)
- Product type 13 (working or cutting fluid preservatives)
The committee also accepted nine applications for Union authorization for:
- L (+) lactic acid Product-type 2 (disinfectants and algaecides not intended for use directly on people or animals)
- Active chlorine released from sodium hypochlorite for product-types 2, 3 (veterinary hygiene), 4 (food and feed area), and 5 (drinking water) and release from calcium hypochlorite (for product-types 2, 4, and 5)
- propane-1-ol and propane-2-ol (all product types)
- Hydrogen peroxide (product-types 2, 3, and 4)
- Cyromazine (product-type 18)
The EU together with the EU Member States will make the final decision.
