Why APA? 

APA has around 8 years of experience in design & detailing of automation equipment, welding fixtures, assembly line automation, work stations/work cells, and EOAT (End Of Arm Tools).


The scope is to create manufacturing drawings for all the 18 workstations of the Differential housing assembly line, involving the assembly of Ball bearings, press cover bearing, center bearings, and seals into the differential housing using hydraulic drives. Since this project had a very stringent timeline, the client was looking for an external team to work in tandem with their design team to finish the design & manufacturing drawings within the deadline.


  • Understanding each station’s function and Sequence of operations performed. 
  • Studying each assembly sequence and operations for identifying critical dimensions to provide GD& T as per ASME Y14.5.
  • Checking Fit & Functions for all mechanical movements and provide proper fit & Tolerance. 
  • Providing the welding standard ISO 2553:2013 for welding joints, dimensions & symbols.
  • Providing optimum machining allowance and Surfacfinish for the machined part. 
  • Preparing 2D Part & Assembly drawings for each stage and Bill of Materials.
  • Thorough Quality Checking Procesensuring adherence to Client’s quality process for error-free drawings
