Companies that change the tonnage band in their registrations since ECHA has communicated the draft decision to them, will need to prove the volume of their substances.

ECHA may now make changes to the registrant’s tonnage band information account until the date an adopted dossier evaluation decision has been communicated to such registrants. Tonnage band information is the key information that determines the information requirements which companies need to fulfill while making substance registrations.

If registrants want ECHA to consider a change to their tonnage band into account, they need to communicate this information to the Agency and update their dossier. They will also need to provide evidence showing the volume of their substance that was imported or manufactured over a preceding calendar year.

Once the adopted dossier evaluation decision has been communicated to registrants, they must fulfill all information requirements regardless of any tonnage band change or cease of manufacture, as outlined in the decision.
