The U.S Environmental protection Agency has planned to start a lead inspection sweep in Connecticut

This initiative is part of EPA New England's broader and ongoing efforts to prevent lead poisoning in children in the Connecticut community, who have historically been overloaded with a high risk of lead exposure. 1,024 Connecticut children under the age of 6 had elevated blood lead levels in 2020.

The EPA's Lead Paint Initiative aims to reduce lead exposure in children through increased awareness and compliance with the RRP Rule, Lead Disclosure Rule, and Lead and Copper Paint Rule from the Water Act Drink Safe.
