The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) updated the Safer Chemical Ingredients List- the list of chemicals for safer functional use on January 12, 2023.

The EPA has added nine substances to the list & those substances are safest in functional use while removing one.

The TSCA chemical (Halogenated aliphatic acid (CAS number 27619-97-2) will no longer be listed on SCIL 12 months from 1/12/2023 as its geometric color code has been changed from Yellow (triangle) to Grey (Square).
