International Tin Supply Chain Initiative (ITSCI) and the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) have arrived at a mutual understanding after continued conversations of the engagement, process, and commitments regarding the RMI recognition Process for ITSCI as an upstream mechanism. This process has been ongoing since RMI removed ITSCI from its approved program list by the end of October 2022. (The previous newsletter on ITSCI and RMI can be found) here .

ITSCI has committed to engage in RMI recognition. Like RMI, ITSCI is committed to follow OECD guidelines. There would be transparent communication of the scope and extent of both the ITSCI alignment assessment and RMI recognition to support the understanding of participating companies.
